She began her choreographic career in 2009 with the creation of two solos, Glavna: overseas and A Mamá

 

Inspired by the novel by Camus, Glavna was a special commission for the Cycle "Sola Feminus" of the Department of Dance of the UNAM, which toured various foreign offices to Ciudad Universitaria as Morelos, Morelia and Juriquilla. In 2010, it appears in the "VI Festival Solos en Tránsito" of Rafael Rosales with Gabriel Pascal lighting at the Teatro El Milagro.

 

A Mamá ... Inspired by the death of her mother, was a special commission to the Department of Dance UNAM, performing at the Marathon Soloists of the First Latin American Dance at UNAM 2009.

 

In the same year, it begins to operate a project in collaboration with several colleagues: Sur Oeste Arte Escénico, which by 2010 is consolidated as Civil Association dedicated to the production, research, analysis, statistics, management, promotion, distribution and registration of cultural projects as well as the consultation and linkage projects, consolidation and restructuring professional groups and individuals; majoring in dance.

 

Besides being legal cofounder of the A.C., Stephanie is stage director; she works in the arts as a choreographer and performer, and in administration directs the management, promotion and artistic representation.

 

Her first full format work premiered in September 2011 at the Salón de Danza, UNAM (project produced by the Program México en Escena of Centro Nacional de las Artes 2011 in the category Apoyo a Egresados; awarded to Sur Oeste Arte Escénico AC). It was a production that had important scenic premises: the spatial arrangement of the scene and incorporating theater show. Crossing over was created under the idea of death, farewell, acceptance and hope ... In a sense, an extension of the solo A Mamá.

 

In the same year, she creates Tr3s, commissioned work for the Opening Ceremony of the 4th International Meeting of Mexico-Korea Contemporary Dance in the Sala Miguel Covarrubias (2011)

 

Como decía Newton production, figures as the second Garcia´s full format and this time, is inspired by an analogy between Newton's Laws and functioning of love. It premiered at the Teatro de la Danza, (Centro Cultural del Bosque) in July 2012, it was presented in the Main Theater of the City of Puebla, in Taxco, Guerrero; in the State of Mexico and the Black Box CENART. In 2013 presents a season at the Teatro Benito (System of the Ministry of Culture of the DF). In 2014, the work is commissioned to perform at Dance Day, under the framework of celebration of International Dance Day in Raul Flores Canelo Theatre (Centro Nacional de las Artes, México)

 

Premieres TaxDermia in 2014 with a season at the Black Box CENART. Inspired by Fear and Misery of the Third Reich by Bertolt Brecht, TaxDermia shows paintings connote unforgettable moments in the history of humanity and where part of the multidiscipline to move the viewer through sensations that lead to reflection. Selected to perform at the Teatro El Galeón, within the program of the National Coordination of Theater 2015. The play received invitation to perform at the art gallery Living Arts Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma in November 2015, at the International Festival of Arts Performing Panama 2016 and soon, within the framework of Casa Tomada in Casa de las Americas, Havana, Cuba in September 2017.

 

The theater company Camaleónes Escénicos, under the direction of Oliver Avendaño; invites her to ride two choreography for the play La Linea, under the direction of Luis Rodríguez that was premiered at the Fringe Festival, San Miguel de Allende.

 

Invited to participate in the videobrouchure Concurring for Dance (Diorama Video), dedicated to soloists; creates Beau Voyage which opens at the Theatre of Dance in 2015 and danced in the Ocampo Theater in Cuernavaca, Morelos and the Teatro El Milagro in the seventh "Solos en Tránsito" Festival, in commemoration of her 10th anniversary as a professional dancer.

 

Creates Adeus ao inimigo taking as central axis the peaceful separation of the couple and the solo Las luces sólo encienden en invierno who decides to celebrate death and understand it as a natural and necessary phenomenon. Both works have been presented in Oaxaca, Mexico State and Mexico City.

 

Her latest production titled Coffee and Cigarrettes , inspired by the eponymous film by Jim Jarmusch , had premiere season at Teatro El Galeón, under the administration of the National Coordination of Theater, from May 30 to July 5, 2016 , with several press notes and widely accepted by the audience .

 

Currently, she appears as legal representative and Head of Sur Oeste Arte Escénico AC, within the Program of Support Groups Professional Performing Arts in Mexico Scene (FONCA), 6th Edition.
